According to a couple of the threads made on these forums it looks to me that the firmware for this mp3 player was, quite honestly, not thought about before put into production.
Recently I found
RockBox it looks as though it might be compatible with the Play Pro V2 but i'm not sure, this would also fix the shuffle issue.
I think if this could be tested it would be great, or a much needed firmware upgrade released.
