Default Folder navigation

A few people have asked how you can access folders on this player - here's how:

From standby (i.e. the player switched on, but not actually playing), press the M (centre) button. "DIR NAV" is displayed.
Press M again to display a list of available folders.
Navigate the list of folders (known as directories) using the < and > buttons (track skip).
Select the required folder by pressing the M button
Select the required track by pressing the M button
Press Play to start playback of the selected track

I can navigate to the folder and track that I want, but when I press play it just goes back to the first track on the player. How do I fix this? (I've done all the stuff about deleting the NAVI file and creating a new list, several times)

Hope someone can help,
Jenny

Further info: if the player is playing a track (any track that I've selected by pressing the right skip button repeatedly, then pressing play) and I navigate through the folders to select another track, when I press play it goes back to the track that it was playing before instead of the one I've just navigated to and selected.

You press the MODE button, not the PLAY/PAUSE button.

I am not an Apple computer user so I won't be of much help on this. The hidden folder you have mentioned is actually a file called NAVI.000. This is basically the navigation file which is hidden in Windows, wether it is hidden in Apple computers I am not sure of.
