Default Limit U-Dock Mp3 Speaker System Information

Hello everyone. If you have purchased the U-Dock here are couple of things you need to know :-

If you plug the player into the U-Dock's USB plug, the system will detect the player as a USB stick and will play the tracks chronagraphically (the date and time it was copied). You cannot randomise or repeat tracks whilst the player is connected to U-Dock's USB plug. However though the U-Dock will produce good quality music. If the sound distorts turn down the BASS using the UDock's remote control.

If you want to use your player and want to randomise or repeat tracks then you will need to purchase a LINE IN lead. Each end of the lead has a 3.5mm plug. You can buy these plugs from an electrical retailer, I recommend is www.maplin.co.uk.
Plug one end into the mp3 player and one end into the AUX INPUT. Turn on the UDOCK and press the AUX button on the remote control. The LED light on the U-DOCK will turn RED. To avoid distortion make sure that the EQUALIZER setting on your mp3 player is set to NATURAL and that the volume is set no longer than 75% (3 quarters).

Default UDock problem

Hi, (newby here!) Found this site last night as I was tearing my hair out as my UDock doesnt seem to like any of the tracks on my player after the 6th track ( despite me checking that they are all mp3 format) I bought the "line in" lead as suggested and tracks DO play but the sound is atrocious!! It appears that all the artists I have on my Phillips GoGear 4GB are all singing under water!! I tried to find "standard" on the equaliser option but it doesnt appear to have one so I selected "normal", set the volume at recommended level but it has made no difference. I hope it's only something that I'm not doing correctly as opposed to something major, as the dock itself seems to have great potential!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just to clarify...

When you connect the player to the U-Dock using USB lead it only plays 5 tracks? If this is so, are there too many folders installed on the player's disk drive? try moving them to one folder and see if that solves the problem. Connecting the player using the LINE IN lead basically sends the sound from the player to the U-Dock. If you hear distortion it could be the LINE IN is faulty or the player's equaliser settings is too high. Some models have a bass boost function as well as the equaliser adjuster. Turn both these off.

Just bought a U-dock system. Fired it up, and it powered on okay, but when I connected an mp3 player nothing. The players screen went from normal view to something I have never seen before, and I couldn't get back to the 'normal' playing window. the player plays ok thru headphones.

I then tried attaching another player thru the aux port. Again nothing, the player was showing it playing (again ok with earphones) but no sound. I tried pressing the aux button on the remote but nothing. I tried using teh remote to shutdown but it didn't work either. I tried a battery, from another remote that worked, but still no change.

I bought it in Uk when I was over, but now I'm back in Turkey it seems that I have bought a dud. Anyone have any suggestions that I can try, before binning?

That is normal. Basically the player thinks that it is connected to a computer so it turns itself into an ordinary memory stick (like the one's you normally buy without the LCD screens on). When the player is connected you cannot operate the player. As soon as you connect the player it should start playing tracks. If it does not make sure that the files on the player are in MP3 format.

I tested a Limit U-Dock with an mp3 player and I am having no problems.

If the above does not solve the problem you will need to contact the retailer who sold you the speaker system. You will need to find information on how to send the speaker system back. It does come at a price though, unfortunately.

It would be best if you contact your retailer. They should arrange for you to send the U-Dock system back for a replacement.
