Alarm clock volume level

I am having the same problem, the alarm clock comes on and builds to a volume level that wakes the street instead of just me. How do I set the alarm wake up volume to be constant at a level of my choice? does everyone have the same problem or are there just a duff batch of units out there?

I've just bought one for £18, and it's a great unit, other than the fact that I bought it as an alarm clock to wake me up to my ipod.

Well, it does wake me up!

I think they're selling it cheap so that few people will return them.

I'm going to find some software that will reduce the internal volume of my mp3s. Then I'll have a small playlist just for my alarm clock.

In the meantime, can an Admin please confirm whether this volume default can be changed?
